Why Access Grief Counselling?

Experiencing loss can bring up a range of emotions. Although grief can be very painful and at times intolerable, you don’t have to suffer in silence or in isolation. It’s often challenging speaking to family and friends who may carry their own biases and are also experiencing the loss in their own way. Seeking professional, non-biased skilled grief counselling can allow you the time and space to talk about what needs talking about.

Grief is personal. It is something that you are likely to experience differently from others, even differently from those in your same family. Grief can be experienced after the death of a family member, friend, colleague and of course a pet. Grief can equally be experienced relating to the loss of a significant relationships (e.g. the end of a marriage or the breakdown of a relationship with a life-long friend). Grief may or may not come with trauma. Dr Cory Middleton creates a safe space for you to share your experience of grief, to process and work with these feelings, so that you feel you can feel confident in engaging positively with the rest of your life.

It’s natural to always miss a person, yet with professional support and guidance, people do build healthy lives around their grief and beyond loss.
