“How can I live with this loss?”
“How will I survive this pain”
It is a common myth that people ‘get over’ grief. Grief has no timeline. So while it is common to ask ‘how will I ever get over my grief?’ - there is no definitive answer. Immediately following the loss, the future may seem very dark and frightening, and you may wonder how you will survive the pain. Even many years after a loss, you can feel sadness when confronted with reminders. But it’s important to take steps towards accommodating grief in your life, even if they are small steps.
